Factoring 101: The Process

This second article on factoring basics features a video discussion with Matt Bracy, General Counsel of Settlement Capital Corporation, and Scott Drake of the Legal Broadcast Network.  Matt and Scott go over the step-by-step process involved in a structured settlement factoring transaction from a seller's perspective.  In addition to an overview of the steps involved in the sale of structured settlement payment rights, Matt and Scott also focus on the "best interest" standard and the time it takes to complete a transaction.

Click on the video below for this concise and interesting overview of the factoring process.

As always I welcome your comments on this article, or general questions about structured settlement factoring.  Additionally, please contact me if you have any ideas for future articles.  You can post any questions or comments directly on this blog, or contact me privately at mbracy@setcap.com.  Matt Bracy
